Discover and enhance your critical listening and sonic creativity with this introduction to editing sound in Ardour - an affordable, powerful and intuitive sound editing application. In these in-person workshops you will not only receive tuition on the principles and mechanics of digital recording, editing, creatively transforming and mixing sound, but will be guided in whichever project you wish to bring to the sessions as a way launching you on your journey into creating with sound. All of the processes you will use are explored using a range of examples, a 'how-to' demonstration, all put into practice with small tasks as we go along. Each of these will build toward a solid grounding in sound editing which you can take forward and apply to whichever project you have in mind. An online follow-up tutorial (to be booked within one month of the in-person classes finishing) completes the course. The course is four days and spread over four weeks, with a maximum class size of ten participants.
